Chopper

I've gotten to the point where I can start riding the chopper I've been working on for the last 8 months.
Stripped everything off of a 1996 LS650 (Yellow), cleaned up as much as possible, painted it, replaced about $1000 (if not more) in parts, and put on the chopper kit from SeegerCycle (www.seegercycle.com).

I wasn't happy with one problem with the chopper kit (no way to torque the axle which comes with the kit) but otherwise am extremely pleased with it. I did find a way to torque it using a stud extractor.

The seat I got from SeegerCycle did NOT fit the bike and I'm still working on idea's to make it work (it would scrap the paint off the gas tank).

This bike was left in the elements here in not always sunny Florida. It was dented up, all turn signals looked like they had been used as the kick stand, and the corrosion was pretty bad. I still haven't gotten it all off. But the engine was strong and it was a good buy.

I want to thank those that recommended the Jardine muffler. I have a Supertrapp on my wife's bike (a red 1996 LS650) and like it but the Jardine is perfect for the chopper.

Pictures can be found at http://thehoghunter.tripod.com under Savage - beware of the pop-ups and the page uses frames.

Thanks to you that answered questions via email.
